Thanksgiving Dinner with all the fixings! It’s my first time making a Turkey in this fashion but it turned out absolutely delicious.
Let’s star from the beginning.
Preheat the oven to 400 F. Prepare the butter – combine together butter, garlic, sage, rosemary, thyme and lemon zest. Season turkey with salt and pepper and coated with butter. Place on the center rack of the oven. Baste every 15 minutes with the fat rendered in the pan. After half an hour add 1/2 cup of chicken stock into the pan so the juices do not burn and roast for an hour, or until cooked through and skin is crisp and cold.
Let the meat rest while make the gravy.
