Pork chops-Normandy recipe. I don’t cook pork a lot, but prepared this way is really great. The meat melts in the mouth, the sauce has delicate apple flavor, just the perfect autumn dinner.🍁
To start score the pork chops with salt and pepper. In a large sauté pan, heat the butter, add the shallots and cook for around 3-5 minutes. Add the pork chops and unpeeled smashed garlic cloves, reduce the heat to medium, and cook about 7 minutes per side. When ready transfer the pork chops to and ovenproof dish, put the sage on top and spoon the drippings over all. Put in the oven to keep warm.
Increase the heat and pour in the apple cider. Boil for few minutes to reduce. Add the crème fraîche, stir until thickened. Pour the sauce on the top of the pork chops and serve with mashed potatoes.😋
